Cleaning Up Our Air and Streets
On Thursday, June 28, we heard from neighbors across Oakland about their environmental concerns. We are grateful for the leadership of Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan who welcomed participants and provided helpful information about ordinances and policies to help mitigate environmental concerns. Facilitators from Community for a Better Environment Action presented maps that clearly showed the impacts of poor air quality and dumping on folks who live in the flats of Oakland and then guided our community conversation.
